Run Towards a Goal, Not Away From a Problem

There is a difference between a strategic move and an escape plan.

When you hate your current job, you become desperate. You just want out. This is dangerous. When you are desperate, you ignore red flags. You lower your salary expectations.

Six months later, you find yourself in a new seat with the exact same problems, because you didn't vet the company—you just used them as a life raft.

Never interview to escape. Interview to advance. If you are running away from a bad boss, you are vulnerable. If you are running toward a specific challenge, you are powerful.
